Wonderland.
Initially planned to blog about the Hennessy event @ Zouk only when I've gotten the pics from Alda and Fiona, But that might take forever and if it becomes too prolonged a period, I'll probably end up not blogging in the end Like the HannahT show @
MardiGras hee hee.
So we'll just have to make do with my behind-the-scenes pictures for now.
Mahani, Hannah, Fiona and I did the show last Saturday, but mind you, this is not a Funky Socks production. We worked with a Singaporean umm, guy, Aaghir, and he brought along a troupe of cheerleaders from Singapore for the show. He's presumably the guy in charge, as it was he who came up with the whole concept of the event, the theme, costumes and everything, which was really interesting and whimsical, kind of like Alice in Wonderland meets Gwen Stefani's Harajuku girls When he pitched the idea to us, I got really excited Determined that this was gonna be one helluva show.

There's a fan blowing at us! Take a picture quick!
Had dinner at The Terrace right outside Zouk (correct me if I got the name wrong) The food took forever to come, so heh, camwhore session And here I found out Shane, one of the cheerleaders, was almost as big a camwhore as I am GOOD ON YOU.

Hannah & mua
Fiona Mahani Cynthia & Hannah, covered up and playing boys.
And you can imagine how our white head-to-toe overalls look under Zouk's black light ;) This is a simple set, lots of boyish posing in the beginning, and later we break into a dance routine, well, not so covered up anymore.
 with Shane!
 Pirates Hannah & Aaghir.
Earlier on I hesitated a little when talking about Aaghir. He's...... definitely one unique, eccentric fella. Our client Gary calls him one peverted choreographer Although not exactly the choreographer, the choreography and routines were ours, and the cheerleaders' were theirs,
Production supervisor, costume master, whatever lah - He who came up with the whole concept
And we accommodated as much as possible to his vision.
And he's in the business of making and selling binikis too, heh At first, I thought it was another one of his jokes. Then he handed me his card and brochure and good God, he wasn't kidding. Quite nice summore, his bikinis. Hmm.
 Scuba diver LED dancer Mahani.
 Snagged off kakicucuklangit's Facebook ;)
Like any other show, the dancers were provided with water backstage. In between routines, I took a sip from the jug of Coke (amongst the other brightly coloured jugs of Sprite, orange juice, Ribena etc) sitting on the counter, and it tasted different. I turned to Aaghir,
"Eh, there's alcohol in this!" "Of course there's alcohol, why are you complaining." "Oh? We're not usually allowed to drink on the job, you see." He looked surprised. "What? Where's the fun in that! In Singapore, the dancers always get alcohol. And free entry into clubs all the time. And free flow of drinks on the house! Everytime!"
Are you serious.
"TAKE ME TO SINGAPORE WITH YOU!"
Lollipop Lolita. Being dolled up by the make up artist.
:+:edit:+: Debbie piped, "Che, you look like your blue haired hoochie mama background!" "Eh!"
Can Can dancers and one sesat cheerleader. Eh no la we adore him :) sho cute.
The show ended that night with all the characters forming a conga train, pulling in some lucky people from the crowd heh heh. Kakicucuklangit waved at me, and I gleefully yanked him in, hee hee.
And the drumset was set on fire, but HECK i didn't get to see that
Hannah ended up rescuing me from a drunky white guy, mehh. Then we proceeded to run away from drunkywhiteguy's drunky Korean friend, mehh.
Haha. That was a fun ending :)
And by the way, we'll be performing again this coming Thursday Same event same routine, but the cheerleaders might not be coming.
It'll be in KL, but that's all I'm telling ;)
It'll be nice if you get to catch us. See ya.
Eh bye, Mock Exam is next week omg.
